Happy New Year!

We're ready for you 2015!
Big Love,

December always flies by for me. Every year, never fails.
I have a lot going on in December; TC's birthday, his Fathers Birthday, our niece Emma's birthday, the holidays, and of course the shopping.
With that being said, I didn't try out a LOT of new products. I also did not want to include my new favorites I got for Christmas, because I want to use them for a month.. it's only fair!

Now, lets jump into my December Favorites!

Ps. Still working on the best way to shoot/put these posts together. Bare with me.

A couple people have emailed or text me and asked for more personal posts. I try to steer clear of "personal" posts, but I don't see any harm in sharing some wedding stuff here and there. It's super exciting and we have so many great things planned for our big day!

Now, we are not the couple that is comfortable in front of a camera. It's funny, when we had to make our wedding website, we went through the photos we had together.. and it was slim pickin'. We just don't take a lot of photos together; and when we do they're quick, cute, and usually silly. So finding the right photographer was important because we both wanted to feel comfortable, look natural, and get amazing pictures! When we sat down with our photographer Amber from Amber Jaye McCarthy Photography, we knew she was a great fit. We had met with other photographers, but with Amber we felt instantly comfortable! The process was painless and a lot less awkward than we expected! We love Amber and after our session we both said "that wasn't so bad"! So without further a due, here are some shots from our engagement session!

First, this amazing vest from Monica's Closet Essentials is back for pre-order! I have to warn you, it's not tweed. It's just printed to look like tweed. The vest is a "cotton finish" so it's super soft and durable. I was worried about putting this vest on my Christmas list, due to it being "pre-order". I wasn't sure how long it would take to ship. However, it shipped quickly and arrived before Christmas. I would think if you ordered this vest today, it should be here within in a couple weeks. Which is quick for pre-order. Of course I'll link similar non-pre order vests.

Now for the infamous "blanket scarf"... I LOVE THIS SCARF. Dramatic? Nope. It is that amazing.
A lot of boutiques and stores are carrying these blanket scarfs. Of course I'll link a couple sites down below! I want to also warn you that these scarfs are large and in charge. If you're anything like me, this is a plus.. because that just means they're extra cozy! I just didn't want y'all to order this and be surprised when it arrived.
As always, I'll link everything.
I hope y'all are enjoying your week back from Christmas break!
Big Love & New Years Hugs,

PS. I'm working on my December favorites.
PSS. I promise my New Years will be spent putting together outfits for y'all, because you are my people!

Just my luck, it started raining half way through shooting this..typical! Ha-Ha.

Thank you Lupita Nyong'o for Capes! She looked fantastic at the 2014 golden globes! See her look here

Capes.. easy, effortless, and so cute!
First, the color of this cape. It make a statement and it's perfect for fall and winter. I wish this cape came in multiple colors, I would totally purchase it in every color!
The material is soft wool blend. It is not itchy at all, I could sleep in this cape.
I paired it with J Crew's pixie pant. If you don't own a pair of these, you're missing out. They are like legging material- but structured so they look like pants. The perfect pair of pants for the fall and winter. I wear them non-stop. Jump on it, if you don't have a pair.. or 6 already in your closet.
My riding boots are older, but of course I'll link a similar pair at the bottom of this post.
The cute little cross-body I'm wearing is from forever 21... and it comes in MULTIPLE colors, WIN!

My cape is sold out, but Nordstrom has a couple. I LOVE this CAPE
Pixie Pants.. you need THESE in your life
My cross-body, found HERE

So I was on third day hair and decided to share with you how I disguise it!
I don't know about you, but washing my hair can be a pain, and It's super time consuming.
I love this braided bun because its super quick, super easy, and looks like you put effort into your hair!

Follow these three steps: pony, braid two strands, and wrap.
It's easy as pie!
But... I'll show you how I get this braided bun, Step By Step!

1. Brush out that mane girl!

2. Tease, tease, and more tease (for me, this is a must)

(more tease please!)
3. Now, pull your hair back into a high pony. It's important to use a hair band that's close to the color of your hair. Once up, spilt it in two sections.

4. Braid one side. This doesn't have to be neat, that's what bobby pins are for.. duh!

5. Wrap the first section around the base of your pony tail, stick bobby pins all over to make sure its secure and in place. Then, repeat for the second section.

6. Move your braids around until your hair is in place and you're happy with the look of the bun. *again, bobby pins are your friend!

 Ta Da!

Heres what I used!
1. Batiste dry shampoo
2. Elnett Satin Hair Spray (not my favorite)
3. The "Wet Brush"
4. Teasing comb
5. Bobby Pins
6. Hair Tie

Hope y'all enjoyed this quick and easy braided bun! Also,
Let me know if you would like more hair posts?

This "Haley Mae" Cardigan from The Blue Door Boutique
I've worn this cardigan on repeat the past few days, I'm serious y'all.
The fit is true to size, I'm wearing a size small. The quality is great and super durable.
I like that it's "open front" so I can pair different things with it, giving it a new look each time.
The tassels on the edge give it some sass, which I love!
It should come to no surprise that I mixed prints for this look. (I threw in an additional picture of how I wore it on TC's birthday!) Oh, and this cardigan is a girls best friend in a movie theater. So comfy and warm!
As always, links below.

ps. GMB will be going under the template knife within the next week- so just a heads up!

Can we talk about this vest... ITS. SO. CUTE.
It's so versatile, you could wear it with all black, you could pair it with jeans, or rock a basic white long sleeve under this vest!
I wore a heather grey shirt and leggings. I paired it with OTK boots to add a little sass and some pearl earrings.
This vest sold out QUICK! However, everything else is linked. I also linked the boutique I purchased this vest from so you could check out all the other adorable vests they have! If you see something you like, move fast- this boutique sells out! Vests also make great Christmas gifts, I'm just sayin'!

Happy Tuesday!

If someone were to ask me to describe my style in three words I would say:
1. Cozy
2. Comfortable
3. Trendy
I feel I use the words cozy or comfy in almost every post- but its the truth. If it isn't comfortable, I'm not going to wear it. Needless to say, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this cowl neck sweater. I was brave and purchased it in white, but Forever offers this sweater in a couple different colors. I like the crisp white, but I'm terrified of make up, food, and my dogs when I wear this!
I originally wore just the sweater and the jeans, but halfway through shooting this I had to bring out my favorite floppy hat. I seem to always look for ways to incorporate that hat! I'll insert pictures of me wearing this outfit with and without the hat.

I try to make every shirt in my closet work with this jacket. Y'all, I'm obsessed with this camo print beauty! I recently purchased this gingham print top and I was so excited when I mixed the two and it worked! (Insert mad scientist laugh, muahahah) Seriously though, I love this combo! It's a good mix of preppy and edgy. I dressed it up with the necklace and called it a day. I got quite a few compliments and comments on this combo, so I thought I'd share!
As always, links are listed! I hope y'all are having a great weekend!
ps. I'm so sad it's sunday. It is so unfair that weekends are only 2 days long.

I was running errands this day, and sometimes..just sometimes I decide to not wear yoga pants when I'm out and about. I don't know about y'all, but when I run errands I like to be comfy. I can't wear something tight or constricting when I'm grocery shopping or taking my dogs to the park. This shirt is great because it's printed and soft. So it looks put together and its comfortable.. WIN! These booties have a Tejas feel and a chunky heel...also two of my favorite things. As always, I list all these items below with direct or similar links!

Now without further ado...meet my pups!

This is Dougie, (Dougamuggle, Douglas, Dougie Fresh, Mr. Muggs)
He is my big boxer bear!
He is 6 years old and sweet as can be.
He loves to go on trail walks and play with his mini basketball. We've met other boxers and I swear they're all so similar! Drooly, Goofy, smart, hyper, and they all have big hearts!
(of course ours is just a smidge better than the rest, but I might be bias)

Meet Daphnie,
My little Yorkie Bear!
This is my little baby, shes only 2!
We never would've thought we'd love having a smaller dog, but if you know daph...she doesn't think she's small at all!
She is smart, sweet, not yappy, and full of cuddles.
She is my sidekick, and I love her!

Just kidding, vests are the best! I wanted to keep this look causal and comfy. If you read my November Favorites post you'll know I purchased this hat in black AND cognac because, why not? As always, links to what i'm wearing will be posted below.

I just want to take a second and thank everyone who has reached out to me about this little blog. Y'all, it means more than you know! You are my people!

Happy Monday! So I've talked about this vest before- but isn't it so cute? It's very versatile. If you look at my previous post about it (Its Fur Real Cold In Texas) you'll see it was dressed down with an infinity scarf and a tunic. Here, I decided to dress it up a bit with booties and a flowy shirt. Vests have been all the rave this year and they live up to the hype! They're really easy to pair with anything and they're super cozy! The one I'm wearing is from Target and I'm thinking it's sold out. However, I linked a similar vest below and I have a coupon code for you! As always, click read more to see more photos and for a list of the links to everything I'm wearing!

I know- I know, I'm a little late posting this. I promise to be better about posting my favorites on time next month! In my defense.. November FLEW by! Is it really December?!
Whew, okay...Lets go!

November Favorites
1. Covergirl 3 in 1 Foundation//: I may be the only 20-somethin' on this planet that has yet to find a "holy grail" foundation. I'm not going to say this is "holy grail" status, but I am very surprised by the quality of this product. I'll go a head and admit.. I usually do not like Covergirl products, but so many people raved about this product so I had to see what the hype was about. I now find myself reaching for it. Its medium coverage and definitely light weight. Overall, i'm very impressed and I will repurchase.
2. Elizabeth James "Nirvana"//: Yes, YES, and YASSS! I love this roller-ball. I'm super sensitive to smells and I usually do not vibe with most perfumes. However, this perfume smells amazing, I get a ton of compliments on it, AND it doesn't give me a headache. I will be purchasing a full size bottle of this!!
3. Floppy Felt Hats//: Say good bye to bad hair days! Felt floppy hats were a hit this fall and these hats are the perfect size. I had been on the search for the perfect size for a hot minute with no luck! I was about to give up on the search when I found these bad boys! I originally just purchased this hat in black.. but went back and snatched up the brown one a week later. HA!
4. Anthropologie Speckled Tights//: LOVE these! I keep finding things to pair them with.. It's problem y'all!
5. Taylor Swift 1989//: Can I get an amen for Blank Space? SO GOOD! I've had this CD on repeat all month long.
6. Bite Beauty Quad//: The mauve and red are my favorite shades in the pack. Bite Beauty never lets me down. Their formula is creamy and the color payoff is amazing.
7. Faux Fur Infinity Scarf//: Someone hide this from me.. I'm wearing it it out! So soft, warm, and comfortable! Its not too restricting so I never feel hot or annoyed wearing it all day.
8. Glam Glow Clearing Treatment//: HOLY GRAIL. This stuff is well worth the money! It has worked miracles on my acne prone skin. I love it so much i'm including it on some of my Christmas lists and buying it for my friends.
9. DV by Dolce Vida  Over the Knee Boots//: These are a winter wardrobe staple. You need a good pair of over the knee boots and these are my go to's. I love these and they're on SALE!

Well, that's all for my November favorites! What are some of your favorite things from the month of November?
