I don't know about y'all, but sometimes my significant other is hard to shop for. I can shop for his clothes all day long, and I know him like the back of my hand. However, when you've been together as long as we have, you start running out of "knock your socks off" gifts.
But if there is one thing I know TC likes, it's traveling.
So for his birthday I decided to plan a trip to Santa Fe.
We decided on a 3 night stay. We left Thursday and drove back Sunday.
The drive is about 10 hours, but if you stop a lot like we did.. it's closer to 12!
We considered flying, but there weren't any direct flights and the flights available would've been 8 hours long! No way Jose! Plus, we wanted to stop in little towns along the way.
Lets get into our trip, I'll caption the pictures along the way.
Ps. Sorry I'm posting a little later than promised,
I am SO busy with wedding stuff and work.
Big Busy Hugs,

Driving in was amazing
On Friday morning we went to breakfast at Clafoutis, it was the cutest little french restaurant! Not to mention I wanted everything on the menu!
French Toast!
After breakfast we decided to visit the Georgia O'Keeffe museum. I don't think either of us expected to enjoy the mesuem as much as we did. I loved her work and bought a mini replica!
(This is the replica piece I purchased ^)
We also walked around the plaza and saw the two historic churches. The one pictured below is the Loretto Chapel. The church features a spiral staircase that was built without using any nails, dowels, or support. How is it still standing?? Blew my mind!
We also visited the St. Francis Cathedral.
St. Francis was my favorite of the two. It was so beautiful and rich with history. I really liked that they still held mass there, I wish we would've stayed Sunday just so we could have attended mass.
We then went to lunch at a little diner on the plaza. I mean, what are you suppose to do on vacation besides eat and relax?
Later we had to go rent ski equipment. They suggest you do this the afternoon before you go skiing, because in the morning the ski shops are a mad house!
We rented jackets and a bib only. I wore some Under Armour wind breaker-like pants? Ill find them and link them (here) and then just a zip up dry fit shirt. With the bib and the jacket, that's all you really need.
There was so much snow and the drive up the mountain was unreal beautiful.
Saturday, we went skiing!!
Highlight of our trip for sure! We took a "never ever class", which was for people who have never ever skied. Our instructor was hilarious, he loved his job and made learning so easy.
( I loved making snowballs and throwing them at TC!)
Santa Fe, you are beautiful.
